Grand Canyon Coffee and Café is featured as one of the Best
Restaurants of 2014 in the April edition of Arizona Highways.
The magazine compiles the list every April
based on a restaurant's food, service and ambiance. This year, Arizona Highways staff asked local fire fighters what their
favorite restaurants were to create the list.
The magazine featured 10 restaurants in the list. The Grand
Canyon Coffee and Café listing talks about the restaurant's signature item, the Canyon Burrito. Owner Anna
Dick (pictured) said a lot of the restaurant's Mexican recipes come from her mother.
Dick thanked
the Williams Volunteer Fire Department for recommending her restaurant to the magazine.

21 Williams businesses receive TripAdvisor award

WILLIAMS, Ariz. - TripAdvisor
recently honored 21 local businesses with the Certificate of Excellence award.
According to a
TripAdvisor press release, "The Certificate of Excellence award is given to outstanding hospitality businesses that have
received praise and recognition in reviews by TripAdvisor travelers."
"Winners
of the award range from one-room bed and breakfasts to 6,000-room hotels, from bakeries to Michelin star
restaurants and hidden attractions to world-renowned parks and museums," according
to the press release.
TripAdvisor is one of the world's largest online travel sites. In order
to qualify for the Certificate of Excellence award, the press release said, "...businesses must maintain an overall rating
of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume
of reviews received within the last 12 months."
Ten lodging, six dining and
five attractions were among the honored establishments. In addition, TripAdvisor gave one local bed and breakfast
and an attraction the Green Leaders Award for their efforts in sustainability.
The honored
businesses include The Sheridan House Inn, Red Garter Inn, Grand Canyon Hotel, Grand
Living B&B, Best Western Plus of Williams, Rodeway Inn/ Downtowner, Highlander Motel, Days Inn of Williams, Canyon
Motel and RV, The Lodge on Route 66, Red Raven Restaurant, Cafe 326, Grand
Canyon Coffee and Cafe, Dara Thai, Station 66 Bistro, Branding
Iron Restaurant, Bearizona, the Williams Depot, Grand Canyon Deer Farm, Grand Canyon Railway,
and Planes of Fame.
